Julie Pecquet

choreography

When she was seven Julie created her first choreography to Imagine by John Lennon.

Since 1997 she has been choreographing for national and international bands and artists, e.g., Brooklyn Bounce, Tank, Garcia, Jan Wayne, Prezzioso, Juliette Schoppmann, No Angels and M4 (www.m4official.com).

Julie has toured throughout the world with Brooklyn BounceGarciaJan Wayne and Prezzioso. For several years she appeared as a guest for various live acts on "The Dome", "TOP OF THE POPS", the "ECHO" Award and "VIVA ROTATION", where, e.g., she danced a solo for Wyclef Jean.

She has been choreographing and directing for different sales presentations all over Europe, for example: STILL, REWE-Touristik, Schwarzkopf and Pussy Deluxe. For FIFA 2006 she choreographed for 22 dancers in VIP areas and got to present her shows at eleven different games. In April 2011 she was the art director and one of the choreographers for "Moulin Rouge by Toulouse-Lautrec", a show created for the American company AEROSPACE. All these shows were accompanied by her company „CIRCA DEL ARTE" (www.circadelarte.com), which consists of dancers, singers, musicians, circus artists, costume designers and stage designers.

Since 2008 she has regularly been choreographing pieces for varieté-theater ("GOP"), and supporting various artists (www.cirquededemain.com & www.cirquedusoleil.com). For Kampnagel in 2009 she directed the hiphop musical "Wonderland", starring 60 teenagers. Also in 2009 she co-choreographed the piece "Love hurts... Petrushka", in which she appeared as a soloist, with Mario Schröder to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Balletts Russes (www.lovehurts-petrushka.com a production of The Lab Production and Grevesmuehl).

Julie has been choreographing for TV shows since 2000, e.g., "Big Brother" (winner: "Der Nominator") - RTL, "Deutsche Stimme" (all ten finalists) - ZDF, "Teenstar" (winner: Pierre) - RTL II, "Das Supertalent" (Germany's Got Talent) (auditions & live shows) - RTL.

In 2006 she was the only female judge and one of the choreographers for the show "YOU CAN DANCE" (So You Think You Can Dance Germany).

During the same year, her crew Lilith's Daughters won 2nd place at the UDO World Street Dancing Championships in Manchester. Lilith's Daughters (also called LDs) is an all-girls crew, which combines all styles of dance ("Fusion"). The performances are strong, sensual, innovative, with a hint of myth and free spirit. The concept is always slightly provocative, supported by strong music and striking costumes, which can range from burlesque to electric. All crew members are absolutely proficient in their own style. Watch out for the Lilith's!
